Awet and I met a few years ago. My friend @lu_shikor was visiting New York and she brought me along, saying I think you should meet. Thank you Lula because I LOVE being inside and you always help me connect with everyone in nyc when you visit 😂😂😂😂. Immediately Awet and I bonded on our love of family and our ability to connect, create, AND our desire to live a life of impact. Being a habesha entrepreneur (Eritrean or Ethiopian) can be incredibly lonely. It’s so rare so when we find each other it’s a level of family I can’t put into words. AWET is an exceptional human being, one of the smartest people I know and when he told me he was starting a fashion line I was PUMPED and very excited to experience it. I am in love with this line. Not just how it feels but the story of how it was created. @awetnyc is the definition of self-made and I am incredibly inspired by him and honored to wear his clothes.
