I was fortunate to have a successful September in the Elk woods again this year. This will make it the 6th Elk season I’ve had. The roughly 200lbs of meat yield per animal serves as our family’s protein foundation for the year. Is it easier or cheaper than buying meat? Hell no! Especially when you have to figure out how to get it all back to HI, process it ect. But it’s not about blind efficiency. It’s about quality.
