I make light of it but finding confidence after cancer and its often body altering treatment can be HARD. I used to feel ungrateful for having hang-ups (I'm alive after all, hey) but I've come to learn that not being dead and safe in a moment is basic. And if others can want and yearn for more, so can cancer patients. Better health, happiness, confidence...whatever it might be.
Before I lose my train of thought (the struggle is real these days), what I'm trying to say is it's ok to have those moments of being pissed off. Not every issue has to be weighted against mortal peril...we don't always have to be grateful and push aside other feelings as a result. And that goes for anyone. For me, it's through expressing and thinking through those feelings that I've been able to find some peace with my situation*.
Thank you to @loungeunderwear for another reminder that #everybodyisbeautiful with a day surrounded by a host of inspiring and gorgeous-in-all-the-ways-going ladies... creating magic for yet another of their incredible and beyond generous charity campaigns. So privileged to be a small part of it. Roll on October x
