Here is beautiful Violet bringing life to one of my favorite looks from 2023. During my MFA program, I explored the exciting challenge of designing for zero gravity. My work was engineered to move seamlessly in weightless environments, paying close attention to how the body stretches, twists, and flows through space. This research opened up a new creative realm for me, as I learned that fashion could truly serve the body's movements, no matter the setting. This look was eventually photographed in collaboration with Jennifer Katzman and focused on capturing fluid, dynamic movement. What I didn’t expect was how perfectly this zero-gravity-inspired design would translate to ice skating costumes. The need for flexibility, elegance, and uninhibited motion was the same, whether floating in space or gliding on ice. It was such a gratifying discovery—a reminder that designing with movement in mind unlocks endless versatility in fashion.
