JRL is an artist, painter, writer and film director with a passion for telling stories that inspire personal & community action to be the change he wants to see in the world he lives. Littlebird hatched in 1992 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, & following in his father‘s footsteps he uses Storytelling, but through the mediums of painting and film, as a vital medium to convey his thoughts. Storytelling is a fundamental part of life for JRL. His Indigenous heritage is deeply rooted in the oral tradition. “My work is inspired by teachings, prophecies and stories that are common among Earthly rooted people. I delve into the inner workings of what makes up thoughts, choices and actions of humankind, past, present and future.
