Without getting too into the weeds of what happened, I will say this: you do not need a man who lies to you, won't own up to his mistakes, hurts you, and wants to control you. . . even if you met him on a Christian dating app and he is involved in ministry. 😮 I went through a season of grief and anxiety after this. I was confused as to why God allowed it. I was also sad because I couldn't join the (seemingly) large group of people sharing happy announcements on Instagram. It felt like every week I was seeing an engagement, pregnancy, wedding, or birth announcement. Having just turned 30, I was scared I would never have any news like that to share. But I'm 31 now, and what I've learned since then is to celebrate the small wins and announce those on Instagram. You don't need to hit a big milestone to rejoice, and people will still want to rejoice with you.
