✨Repotting 101✨
I get asked a lot how I repot my plants or what are some tips to repotting! And I finally got around to repotting my giant Monstera so thought I would film a little tutorial for y'all!
Some Quick Tips:
🌱Choose a new planter that's 1-2 inches bigger than the current pot. This helps prevent root rot
🌱Try to get a planter with drainage. If not you can use a nursey pot in a decorative pot.
🌱Potting Mix: Depending on the medium I am using I sometimes will not add extra stuff to my mix especially when it comes to my own plants. If you are spending a little extra on some good soil you don't really need to add anything more to it. BUT Like I preach on here all the time these are your plants you can do whatever the hell you want😎
🌱Try not to squish the plant down in the pot. You created all these beautiful air pockets or aeriation and doing that takes away those. Try tapping the planter instead.
🌱You will lose roots in the process, don't fret the plant will survive!
Repotting can be scary, but once you get the hang of it...it's nothing! Remember plants are hella resilient so don't be afraid.
And if all else fails you can hire someone to help Like me 😉(Link in bio)!
Save this post if this was helpful to y'all so you can go back to it when you are ready to repot!
Happy Planting
