Happy 10th birthday to my fave video I’ve ever made — “GENERALS” — the first single from the album by the same name!! 🧨 @tessavictoriaw & @jontvrdik took my original idea (a gang of beret-wearing French spy cats break a bunch of dogs out of the pound run by a real bad dude — still want to make this btw) and turned it into something greater than I ever could’ve imagined. We filmed at Johnny’s — a classic Omaha steakhouse with saddles for bar stools that just celebrated its 100th anniversary last March — and cast most of Omaha in it, including the guys from @saddlecreek as the bad business dudes. 🖤 Now that I produce music videos, all the blood, sweat & tears that went into making this video are so obvious: Tessa literally broke her finger making it, and I’m certain there was no budget for the cast or the costumes or the VFX work and probably most of what you see in picture. THANK YOU to everyone who was a part of this video! At least 3 couples onscreen went on to get married. Babies were made! IT WAS A REAL LOVE FEST!! 🌚🦊🧳💫
