Meet Héctor Tito Varela-Vélez (@ecotitopr), Surfrider Foundation Puerto Rico Community Organizer. Héctor is spearheading restoration efforts across the island of Puerto Rico, planting mangrove forests—which are Blue Carbon ecosystems that absorb carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere and safely store it at a rate of up to four times that of forests on land.
