As 2024 comes to a close, a brief look back …
This year was a tough one to say the least. After experiencing a late term pregnancy loss that took us to our knees, I learned how it feels to be humbled and heartbroken at the same time, and yet, buoyed by grace, and the inextinguishable light of hope. I am so grateful to have a loving partner and family by my side, not to mention a strong resolve and steady faith, all of which I needed this year more than ever.
Despite its thorns, 2024 had its roses too, from embarking on a new season of life in the Texas Hill Country to the gift of travel. I cherish the memories made this year visiting friends and writing stories about interesting people and inspiring places, near and far. For this — and the kindness, compassion, and love shown by so many — I am deeply thankful.
Though I’ve stayed quiet on here for the past few months, I’ve been writing gently through the healing … Mostly poetry (my first love) but also cooking up some bigger projects too. I’ll be sharing more in the new year, but until then, I’m grateful for all the blessings in my life, of which there are so many.
Here’s to looking forward and a brand new year ahead filled with daily moments of beauty, grace, optimism, and goodwill. Wishing you all love, health, and happiness on this next turn around the sun — 2025, I am ready for you. ❤️🎇
