It’s pretty crazy that I have work in three major museums in Paris at this moment! Two images from @voguefrance (I’ll never get used to the new name) shot by Helmut Newton at the Mugler exhibition (Musée des Arts Décoratifs/The Louvre). An image on the wall of covers at the 100 Years of Vogue exhibition (Palais Galiera). Finally, a couple of David Seidner photographs at the current exhibit at the Yves St Laurent museum. As a bonus, there are two posters for sale in the museum shop and one of them is from an YSL campaign shot by Helmut Newton of Yasmeen Ghauri. Back then, many people thought that being a makeup artist was not a real job. They also did not recognize what we were doing in fashion as having lasting value. But I absolutely burned to work with passionate visionaries and to be part of a creative team making beautiful images. Today I look back and I am so grateful for having known that world.
