It’s been a year of such immense growth, one which forced me to look in the mirror and love myself. Isn’t it so peculiar how you can love so many people but then completely refuse to do so for yourself? While my friends and family saw the beauty in me I’d never been able to fully accept me as I am. But this year I’ve committed to changing old habits, going to weekly therapy, seeking spiritual advisors, pushing my body to become stronger, and while I’m not there, I’m so proud of how far I’ve come. Social media may show the glamorous sides of our lives but that’s only a percentage of our story. The rest of the minutes and seconds are poring over how we make it through in this lifetime and what lessons we are to embrace. While I may not have all the answers I do know that I am constantly trying to better myself. Become kinder and fiercer and love myself all the same. 준영아 수고했다.
