Introducing one of our incredible panelists at IGNITE Women in Leadership Conference, Carly Box.⁠ ⁠ Carly will be sharing her professional and business journey, as well as the lessons learned succeeding as a female in male dominated industries.⁠ ⁠ ⁠Carly Box is a former Solider in the Australian Army. She was the first female to enlist into a combat corp and served as a Drone operator in the Royal Australian Artillery Corp. Carly served on two operational deployments to Afghanistan and spent time as a mission commander which allowed her a position of leadership among her troop. Carly has always worked in a male dominated environment.⁠ ⁠ Carly later moved on from the Army and, along with her partner, sold everything and bought a one way ticket to Iceland with the mindset to travel indefinitely. After 18 months travelling the world, they moved home to Brisbane and founded The Barracks Gym to train Military and Police applicants for service.⁠ ⁠ Carly is passionate about ensuring females are physically and mentally well prepared for service by developing a strong Military mindset to ensure they have fulfilling and long lasting careers.
