some bts from my shoot with @dragfiles !! I’m so happy we got to do this project together. Thank you for assisting me on location and getting this footage @bambibankscoulee ... We went to Edgebrook woods and we fought off all the midday cruisers to get these shots. For the water shots, I took a broken picnic table top and drug it into the water and stood on it so I didn’t sink into the mud, and used my socks as a protective sleeve lol.... The dress was draped and torched to get a worn effect, and I hand dyed the wig. For my nails, I used wood grain duct tape over acrylics and cut the ends into twig shapes. All accessories were made in college; the chest plate was hand cut and molded to my chest, dyed red. After digitizing a design I drew in middle school and reflecting it over multiple axis, I screen-printed it with glue and dusted it with gold luster pigment. One gauntlet was made with the scrap material and the other is the first design of my 4 strap hunters glove. It is brown leather with rabbit fur straps, finished with solid brass hardware. I have done these in a couple variations, (black and brass, purple pony and brass) and plan on designing a set to sell soon. The neck piece is one of my favorite creations; it’s raw hide, soaked in water, cut and molded to a neck shape. I hand-tied South African porcupine quills in bundles with brass wire; and strung them with leather string to the raw hide. I drilled each hole and tied them from behind; it’s finished with eyelets in the back to secure it in place, and bone pieces carved into the shape of teeth around the neck. #fashion #design #art #photography #leather #leatherdesign #drag #chicagodrag #fashionphotographer
