Awhile back I spoke to my roommate, @keeganforeman about shooting a streetwear story. I asked if he knew anyone he thought would be interested in exploring my concept. He said he was working with this crew called the Broke Boys (@wear_broke)and that they were the ones to connect with. I presented my ideas and they were really keen to see where the shoot would take us . The stills all had a very clear outcome in my mind but the video component was something we were keen to shoot and see what would come of it. After the shoot, I reviewed the footage and this idea of telling their story in the form of a daydream during they then long commute(sometimes 2 hours)from Bluedowns to Cape Town CBD came to light. The film is full of inside jokes, their love of Tyler, the creator(@feliciathegoat), corona research, loafers, life without music being the death of their culture and their aspirations as individuals but above all their bond as a crew.
