Doors will open at 6:30 PM and attendance is on a first-come basis. The conversation will begin sharply at 7:00 PM and is free. White Columns is located at 91 Horatio Street (between West and Washington Street). In June, Primary Information released a facsimile of Heilmann’s classic and long out-of-print The All Night Movie, which the artist has described as “the story of my life, told in words, painted images and photographs.” Equal parts artist book, monograph, and memoir, the publication provides an intimate window into the artist’s life, work, and friendships. Heilmann has a long history with White Columns and was an active member of the creative milieu that orbited around the organization in its early years, when it was known as 112 Greene Street.
