Exciting news for the Great Park! 🛒 T&T Supermarket is coming soon to The Canopy! 🌳 This will be the first grocery store in the area, making life in the park even more convenient. T&T Supermarket, Canada’s largest Asian grocery chain, is set to open its first Southern California location in Irvine by late 2026 or early 2027. The 34,000-square-foot store will be situated within the Canopy at Great Park development, a new retail and dining hub in the rapidly growing Great Park community of Irvine. This expansion follows T&T’s entry into the U.S. market with a store in Bellevue, Washington, in December 2024.   The Irvine store aims to offer a comprehensive Asian grocery experience, featuring a self-serve hot food bar with authentic dishes like Peking duck and crispy papa chicken, a sushi counter, and a BBQ station. Customers can also enjoy made-to-order street foods such as Chinese crepes (jianbing) and Taiwanese-style rice rolls. The in-store bakery will produce over 140 items, including popular treats like Portuguese egg tarts T&T is also introducing a selection of approximately 200 private-label products, including soup dumplings and green onion pancakes, adopting a model similar to Costco’s Kirkland Signature line.  The store is expected to create around 180 job opportunities and serve Irvine’s diverse community, nearly 45% of which is Asian.
