In 2019, I wrote a handful of demos that eventually became the Boy Apocalypse project. The first one I EVER wrote was “Better Alone”. It was a breakup anthem, but it was also written to express my intense feelings of climate grief - I imagined it playing as a spaceship left an uninhabitable planet. It took a while to find the right producer and right situation, but that person was for sure @stryermusic. Michael is a stand up human being who helped mix and master my song “June” and connected me with @itsbeargrillz for “Satellite”! He’s the rare combo of talent and enthusiasm, skill and kindness.
