Highlight reel from one of my favorite hikes of all time! [The Narrows, Zion National Park, Utah] We went the week before Thanksgiving last November and it was a perfect time of year to go. Rent some waterproof gear from a Zion outfitter in Springdale (like @zionguru), take the free Zion park shuttle to the last stop at Temple of Sinowava, hike 1 mile on a paved trail to the start of the Narrows. Start hiking through the river into beautiful slot canyons. (Turn around and hike back the way you came.) Family adventures are not always easy... but they are ALWAYS fun! Take the kids.
