To be by @arianadebose side, one of my dearest friends, my sister, my Anita - as she walked into her very first Academy Award Nominee Luncheon was one of the greatest pleasures of my life. To be with Steven, Kristie, Janusz, Paul, Adam, and our West Side Story family that is nominated filled my heart and my soul to the very brim. To watch the world swirl about our film, to swirl around my glorious friend and to see her magic affirmed and recognized on such a massive level brings tears to my eyes. Squeezing each others hands and allowing it to just flood our veins with thrill and excitement - I will never forget it. . There are certain people who come into your life and stay in your life, they are “the call” when life is beyond brilliant and also when its cruel, they exist on a soul level with you its incredible to experience such a powerful care and love for each other and want the absolute best for each other. And that last part....... want the absolute best for each other. No room for anything other than wholehearted participation in each others successes and joys. I feel so lucky to have that with this woman. I’m so grateful to be by her side through this season. Her joy is infectious, her wins are our wins, she represents so much and really is leading the way with authenticity and sense of self. Ill be swirling about this day for a while. .
