THE TERRITORY opened in UK cinemas today! A PASSION Docs film, directed by Alex Pritz, co-produced and partially filmed by the Uru-eu-wau-wau community in Brazil, THE TERRITORY follows the Uru-eu-wau-wau Indigenous Surveillance Team as they defend their land against a network of Brazilian farmers intent on colonizing their protected territory. The film draws on intimate access to both the Indigenous community and the opposing farmers network, to track the enormous changes and violence in the Amazon over the past three years. The film premiered @sundanceorg earlier this year, winning Audience and Craft awards. Since then, it has won a total of 14, screened at over 85 festivals and was watched last week by 1,700 people in Central Park!
