I am a Sarah Hogle superfan and have been since the beginning. 2. She said "Addie. It's a little bonkers. I hope you like it." She is right. It's a little bonkers. But it's also sweet and swoony and romantic and so incredibly redeeming. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Sarah takes things we know and love and turns the volume all the way up in this book. Bettie is just WAY too much. In contrast, Hall is the most extreme Buddy the Elf character ever. They seem to get on your nerves a little. You want to hate Bettie but then you just love her. You love her. You love Hall.
