We’ve been traveling for almost 2 weeks now and it’s been thrilling, fantastic, exciting, and full of so many new experiences. However, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t homesick to some degree. This isn’t me complaining by any means, just me wanting to share the reality of my experiences. We’ve had so much fun in Norway and Italy so far, but moving around every 3 days or so gets exhausting, uncomfortable, mentally draining, and all around just tiring. Not entirely sure where I was going with this, but just remember what you see on Instagram isn’t always reality and it’s not always butterfly’s and rainbows. Traveling is uncomfortable and pushes you in new directions constantly. And I suppose that’s what draws us to it whether we like it or not. A yearning for new places and a desire to come back to our routines with a different perspective. But, it sure is easy to forget that beneath the fantastic views, exciting city’s, and limoncellos, lies the homesickness and never ending logistics tucked under the rug. Surrender to the experience.
