The Yale Review is proud to honor its 200-year history by continuing to publish new work from the best writers of our time (the magazine received the prestigious National Magazine Award for General Excellence last year). But TYR also possesses a rich archive that dates back to the nineteenth century, including a trove of work from Virginia Woolf, essays by Bayard Rustin and Iris Murdoch, and poetry by Emily Dickinson, Robert Lowell, Adrienne Rich, Rita Dove, and many others. For decades, most of this work has been largely inaccessible to readers. Last year, TYR began a concerted effort to digitize more of its archive and to make it freely available on TYR’s website. The magazine will bring more of these treasures to readers in 2025.
