Andreas and Lisa Ullenius, a design-savvy couple, took on the four-year renovation of a 111-year old tumbledown property on the island of Skarpö in the Stockholm archipelago. Full of wil­lowy charm, the Villa Sol­backa—roughly “sunny hill villa”—had sounded to them like a get from the get-go. But even the bro­ker who sold it to them seemed to know bet­ter. “Every­body kind of loves it. No­body buys it.
