Foilayage placement/adding dimensionđĽ
Start with a v parting taking teased slices on each side
If your client needs dimension you can add lowlights by taking a horizontal slice right above the v like partings. I always suggest using a shades one to two shades darker than their natural base
The way you tease is very important!!
â¨Finer more sheer teasylight - start the tease 3/4 of the way down.
â¨Bolder pops of dimension -start 1/4 or 1/2 of the way down so youâre left with more hair to paint, creating a ribbon of color.
Use a board for more control and even saturation. I like to use the @cooboard for all of my foilayage
Apply lightener to the center of the foil and feather upward making sure to leave pockets of depth
Alternate between horizontal and v like parting to mimic a balayage
Pro tip!! Always keep in mind brightness lives around the face so when painting bring the highest points up closest to the face and the lowest towards the back of the head
