smiling with so much pride to be co-hosting @lightupmbc this year. I talked in my last #breastcancerawareness month post about the anxiety I have around cancer reoccurrence. 20-30% of early stage survivors will reoccur and become metastatic. While journaling, exercising, and talking with friends are all AMAZING mental health practices that help alleviate this anxiety, there’s nothing like true ADVOCACY that gives me a sense of purpose when I’m feeling powerless. Amplifying voices of the metastatic breast cancer community is something I’m extremely passionate about since stage 4 is the only kind of breast cancer you can die from with a 2-3 year life expectancy. This beautiful community of women knows more than anyone how to savor each day, something we could ALL use a little more of. @lightupmbc (Sunday October 13th @ 8pm) will be a beautiful night benefiting @metavivor <3 173 cities all over the world will light up landmarks in solidarity and I’m especially excited to chat live with members of the stage 4 community who will be sharing their stories at their local landmarks!!!!
