Announcing: Hudson Canyon National Marine Sanctuary Designation
NOAA's Office of National Marine Sanctuaries is inviting you to participate in the first step in the process to potentially designate a new national marine sanctuary off the coast of New York and New Jersey, known as Hudson Canyon.
A sanctuary designation would help conserve the area’s rich marine wildlife and habitats, promote sustainable economic activities, and create new opportunities for scientific research, ocean education, and recreation.
The public can comment on the proposed action June 8, 2022, through August 8, 2022.
