Announcing: Hudson Canyon National Marine Sanctuary Designation NOAA's Office of National Marine Sanctuaries is inviting you to participate in the first step in the process to potentially designate a new national marine sanctuary off the coast of New York and New Jersey, known as Hudson Canyon. A sanctuary designation would help conserve the area’s rich marine wildlife and habitats, promote sustainable economic activities, and create new opportunities for scientific research, ocean education, and recreation.
