Bondeni has always been the heart and soul of the party. He’s no longer lap-sized, but he still loves to be at the centre of the action! It’s hard to believe that Bondeni is now the senior bull at the Nursery. Where we rescued him in February 2019, he was days old. For reasons that will always remain a mystery, the newborn elephant had taken a long trek across the jagged lava fields surrounding the Chyulu Hills, and his tiny feet were covered in painful lacerations.
