The AFTRS documentary, One in a Million, contrasts the ocean’s pull with the importance of CPR in saving lives. The film highlights Dave Winner, a surf lifesaver who, after decades of teaching CPR, was rescued through CPR himself. Director Dylan Nicholls said about the film: “Dave Winner is a Coalcliff CPR instructor who suffered a spinal cord injury during a fatal surfing accident in August 2021. After being revived by CPR, Dave made it his mission to teach free CPR to one million people by 2030.
