Last week, 8th graders from Ole Rømer School in Taastrupgaard transformed waste concrete from construction of the facade of Block 85, a neighborhood apartment building, into an artwork. They were directly involved in the artistic process, from designing to producing the artwork. During this time, the students learned about marine life and discussed how to build structures for underwater creatures. We will analyze their proposals and create a large-scale sculpture which will be installed next to the renovated Block 85. The art project is a collaboration between SUPERFLEX and students of The Ole Rømer-School. The project is commissioned by AKB Taastrupgaard and curated by Somewhere and Seriously Fun.
