Just a reminder that if you are not rich overnight with a packed clientele in the first few years of your career, there’s nothing wrong with you!! You’re not doing it wrong! Sometimes social media makes it seem like everyone has tons of clients, is charging hundreds and hundreds of dollars per service and has a waitlist of people they can’t fit in. While I think it’s certainly possible to reach that level early on, I wouldn’t say it’s the norm. I made very little money in the first few years of my career (I would say after year 5 things started to improve, after year 8 I felt really comfortable financially) and I was constantly questioning my choice to do hair because I felt extremely defeated and frustrated. So if you’re feeling this way, I see you friend! I’ve been there! Brighter days may be right around the corner. Hang in there...your hard work will pay off and be worth it!
