——— Introducing @summerfridays ShadeDrops Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Mineral Milk Sunscreen 💛
Not yet launched in Australia but coming soon 👀 (@meccabeauty, I hope)
So I thought I’d share my thoughts to help you determine whether this is worth picking up!
First impressions:
〰️ No strong unavoidable fragrance
〰️ Quite a runny liquid consistency
〰️ Feels lightweight and really nice on the skin
〰️ Doesn’t have that super sticky sunscreen feel to it
〰️ Leaves a bit of a white cast
As this is a mineral sunscreen, it’s not immune to the white cast - though it’s not a horrible one (on me personally anyway), because it sinks into the skin nicely but you need to give it quite a bit of time. I personally would go in with my makeup routine right after if I were to step out.
Though as it is only an SPF 30, I would still layer another sunscreen over the top if I’m going outside but if I’m just staying indoors and working on my screens, then I think this is a good one to slap on.
Now onto its claims: this claims to be fragrance free and glides over skin like a serum as it is a lightweight mineral sunscreen that delivers SPF and skincare benefits. It is enriched with vitamins, antioxidants and soothing chamomile. Claims to consist of a formula that is reef-friendly and leaves the skin with a soft and natural finish.
Overall I definitely do enjoy this sunscreen. I’ve only ever trusted 2 brands with sunscreen on my skin as so many others have broken me out and this one actually hasn’t which I’m so happy about because y’all know how much I love this brand and everything they come out with. This is no exception. It’s really lovely, but just keep in mind that it may leave a white cast on those with deeper skin tones.
Will you be picking this up? ✨
