In 2018 Vashni told me about a project she was working on. Shyly she told me, “ yea I’m making this documentary about the baby dolls in New Orleans.” A few months later she showed me a few shots and my jaw dropped. I knew my friend was talented but seeing this project I was in shock. Fast forward to 2019 when she showed me even more footage, I started to jump up and down saying Vashni this is going to be big. When she asked me to score a few scenes I was beyond down and honored. For years I’ve dreamed of scoring films and for her to ask me to be on this incredible project I cant tell you how happy I was. Especially to have music besides the great @angeltheoracle and @christianscottofficial. Now in 2022 “you can’t stop spirit” is continuing to get the recognition it deserves. Vashni has worked so hard not only on this project but in everything she does. So proud of you love. You’re killing it. Thank you @nytimes for recognizing this brilliant being.
