Survival Kit 101: Safely Carry Fish Hooks Learned this one from my late mentor way back in 2006. Sandwich your hooks between packing tape on one side and Rite-In-Rain Paper on the other. When you need a hook, push it out of the paper back. This way, you can retrieve your hooks without getting hooked yourself. Works well for E&E kits and small personal survival kits.
