Herny Johnson Henry johnson was a black soldier serving for the 369th infantry regiment out of New York. He fought in France on the front lines in the WW1. In 2016, he knelt during the national anthem at the start of NFL games in protest of police brutality and racial inequality in the United States. The actions resulted in a wider protest movement.
