I found something pretty magical when I checked on this yesterday! *Lots of questions on "lost to science" Corybas caudatus was first described a long time ago in peninsula Malaysia. Since then it has never been found there again. There are no scientific records, no photos or drawings and all subsequent research trips have found other Corybas but never the Corybas caudatus. Many Corybas are described as critically endangered and Corybas caudatus could be extinct in the wild due to habitat loss and illegal poaching.
