The water knot is an incredibly strong (like He-Man strong) way of creating a loop out of flat webbing. Flat webbing is so very useful in the great outdoors for hauling and anchoring. An overhand knot is tied in one end of the webbing. Using the other end, the webbing is retraced in the opposite direction creating a symmetrical knot. The tails should be at least 3" long for safety.
