The last 48hrs have been crazy. A big heart opening a experience for me and deep connections have been made with one of the local Karen Hill tribe communities. I wanted to share some special moments with you that happened over the last 2 days; I met a Thai lady in the local market who was on holidays, we connected instantly. We knew each other for 5 minutes and she invited me on her trip she was taking into the mountains to stay with her friends that was a local priest at a church in community of the local Karen hill tribe. * Only the lady I met spoke English so she translated between the community and me. * I spent many hours in church with the community and shared many smiles and warm hugs. * The priest introduced me to the whole community and even got me to make a small speech. * We ate fresh food from the land. * I almost choked on a fish bone. * We visited the homes of local Karen women who hand weave the most amazing fabrics, then into clothing and bags. * The woman I was staying with taught me how to cook and gifted me this the most stunning Karen hill tribe clothing and jewellery. I came underprepared so I gave her my favourite necklace that I have worn for 10 years. * The community was so welcoming, I laughed, I cried and minimal language was shared over the 2 days. * I made connections to work with the local woman of the Karen Hill tribe and got their blessing to share their products with my community (you) * This has been a big blessing and I’m so excited to share with you in the coming months what we are going to offer together for you.
