I’ve spent the past few days cleaning up film scans of negatives my aunt Nan found of my mom’s side of the family from the 50’s and 60’s. They were middle/working class people, but growing up in Rochester, NY I think it might’ve been a requirement that everyone have a camera 📷
I typically, as a photographer only post photos Ive taken, but just had to share some of my faves of my big Italian American family from long before I existed...
1. All five kids for what looks to be Grandma Capozzoli’s birthday.
Jim, Jeannie, Margie, Lou and Nancy.
2. My grandma Rose in the dining room. Looks like Christmas, but could be any Sunday really.
3. An earlier pic of grandma and one of her bebes
4. My teenage mom (left) and her friend sunbathe posing. The look on her face is so priceless and was so very her.
5. My grandpa Lou in his police uniform. Ive heard he was a very tough dude.
6. My uncle Jim, looking like the spitting image of his son Michael, with his grandpa Marconi right before he went off to the army.
7. Grandma Marconi with either my mom, aunt Jeannie or aunt Nan, most likely aunt Nan by the cheeks
8. Grandma and Grandpa Marconi with wine...I love the glasses
9. Easter Sunday aunt Nan
10. Easter Sunday aunt Jeannie and my mom
