Hands up if you've ever coveted Matilda Djerf's hair - we're willing to bet that's most of you! Although she says she doesn't 'really know why people are obsessed with' her hair, she of the bouncy, buttery blonde locks has, luckily, shared her tips for recreating her signature 'do. Her look centres around those perfect fluffy curtain bangs, so naturally emulating her hairstyle starts with getting them just right. "I think with curtain bangs, it's important to, first of all, let them part where your hair naturally parts ... I always blow dry my bangs down, and then each side so my hair gets to part where it naturally wants to. If you have a little twirly thing [a cowlick], you can't force your hair to lay where you want it to. So it's more about finding where your hair wants to part, and then cutting it accordingly." The right products also make a big difference. She loves old-school hot rollers for adding body to limp locks. "Rollers are so good ... they're more popular nowadays, but I still think they're underestimated, they really make such a big difference - especially for curtain bangs, you really get that swoosh." Using a volumizing product on damp hair before blowdrying will also ensure you get that 90's model volume that we're all after. "I'm not super into makeup, I don't really like makeup, so I feel like hair is such a big thing ... if I have a bad hair day, my mood shifts." We absolutely relate. Nothing puts a spring in our step like a great hair day, so we'll be following Matilda's styling advice to ensure we have a smile on our dial! Who is your hairstyle icon?
