Excerpts from “Under This Sun” a body of work produced during the residency at @_phest_ . I was invited to document an unexplored aspect of Puglia, its push toward the future, its efforts to stand tall in the research and development of the human, technological and natural resources. Attempting to break away from the regional stereotypes trying to reveal the area’s agricultural activities and deep academic and social engagement. This in depth story together with a staggering array of other exhibitions will be on show at the 7th edition of Phest, Festival of Photography and Arts in Monopoli, Puglia – which just opened. I’m grateful to @giovannitroilo and @arianna_rinaldo_curator for the invitation and the support, @negherboncinzia and @paolo.moretti.insta for the production of these shoots and my stay in Puglia, @mrnikohyde for the assistance, tireless driving and patience, @annapuricella for the introductory text, and the entire curatorial and exhibition staff of the festival like @latota and @annaaasara for putting together such a well curated and careful set of exhibitions.
