Construction on Snøhetta’s 550 Madison Garden is nearly complete! Working with general contractor AECOM Tishman, our project team recently had 1,000 cubic yards of soil delivered on-site from The Dirt Company - Northeast, Inc. The first tree specimens have been planted and additional trees, shrubs, and grasses are being installed daily as we work toward the project's Fall 2022 completion. The transformation of the existing Privately-Owned Public Space (POPS) at 550 Madison (@550Madison) is a collaboration between Snøhetta as design architect and design landscape architect, Siteworks as landscape architect of record, and horticulturalist Phyto Studio (@phytostudio). This team, along with architect of record Adamson Associates Architects, civil engineer Lagan, and lighting consultant Arup, is reinvisioning and modernizing the signature postmodern landmark in Midtown Manhattan on behalf of our clients, The Olayan Group and their development advisor, RXR. #550Madison
