I had a poor experience at tonight’s Anajak Thai (a James Beard award winning establishment) TTT x Holbox (a Michelin Star establishment) collab. 1. My friend and I had our fairly full cabbage and drunken noodle plates being taken by the back servers. When my friend asked if they were trying to clear our table, they said no, so we told them we were still working on the dishes and they dropped our plates back down 2. Nearly 5 minutes after, a team member comes by with two glasses and a bottle of bubbles saying they need to move our table but they’re going to give us some bubbles 3. I haven’t had the opportunity to even take a full sip of my bubbles and they already started moving us 4. The team moved our plates (the cabbage and drunken noodles) and our bubbles. We don’t have plates, napkins, utensils, cup for water. The team members are bringing our servingware one at a time and it’s very disorganized 5. We boxed up our food and asked for the check 6. They charged us for the wrong table - when trying to flag team members down to correct our check, everyone (including both the chefs of Holbox and Anajak Thai) had their attention to the now seated VIP table (which is where we were formerly sitting). It takes some time to flag a team member to help refund and correct our check 7. After tip, our total between the two of us was ~ $280 Ultimately, this experience does not sit well with me because as a regular paying patron for a James Beard award winning x Michelin collab, our nearly $300 experience was disrupted many times. If we were VIP, would we have been treated better? #lafood #anajakthai #honestreview #lafoodie #fyp
