I met @isseymiyakeofficial on my first and dreamiest trip to Japan in 1990 with @patrickdemarchelier for @vogueitalia. We photographed an entire issue in Tokyo and Kyoto. I posed with all of the big Japanese designers from Rei Kawakubo to Yohji Yamamoto while there. Issey was by far the friendliest and most gracious of them all. Just look at that face and those kind eyes. 🖤
