Joining in on reminiscing over the Her Universe fashion show! Today would have been the day, but we all know the rest of the story of cons in 2020. Even though I had the privilege to participate one year (the 2017 show), the connections that I’ve made have carried over until this day. This show is less of a competition and more of a celebration and building of a community (and quite frankly a marathon), and I am happy to have been a small part of it. I’ve applied each year since then and can’t tell you whether I would have been selected this year, but I’m saving up to attend in 2021 (if I can stomach comic-con rooming prices). The excitement is tangible through a grainy twitter livestream, but it’s honestly so much better in person. Hopefully I’ll see everyone again one day!
