🌿BODIES OF KNOWLEDGE 🌿 We had finally arrived in Ek Balam, a Yucatan region in northern Mexico. It had been hours of travelling and I was exhausted yet so overjoyed to be deep in the jungle with my love...we got comfortable in our hut...at last peace...just as I felt my body relax our neighbours decided that it was their party and turned their music up full blast completely contradicting the space. I felt personally attacked although they didn’t know we were there and I had to leave our space to regain my peace. I walked and walked until I fell to the ground and weeped. Why was there chaos around in me in a place I had longed to be I asked ? Why now? Why them? Why me? I held my hands up As I circulated these questions and let out the emotions I felt , a man appeared In the distance. His energy instantly settling me. We spoke for ages sharing our thoughts and views. He knew why we had quested here without me saying.And knew we weren’t just any old seekers Usually when attending scared ruins you go through the systematic producers of paying and tourists but this night he told me the secret “Wake up and at dawn , head south from your hut and keep walking until you see a path , follow it until you come to a wall , this the first ruin. Go left and keep going and do not stop until you see an opening and you will know it once you have arrived.” I knew instantly that we were meant to meet I thanked him and he walked me back to my hut. We shook hands and I felt his burning power. Within moments of arriving back the music had stopped and we set off the following day at dawn with his directions still fresh in my mind...the gift we received was a spiritual experience beyond words. This was the birth of my inspiration for “BODIES OF KNOWLEDGE “ @showstudio immersive boundary breaking project Thankyou @nick_knight and @emmadabiri for allowing me to create a very personal story travelling through Mexico.
