Do you see this mark on me? It’s the best mark I have ever received. It’s the way through which I got to meet you. From this scar, my heart grew anew. There are days I even forget that it’s there, Other times I can’t help but stare. It’s changed the way my body appears, Which yes, has brought some insecurities and fears. But even so, this mark you see, I’m grateful for what it’s changed for me. It’s beautiful because of what it represents— My strength; your life; the perfect event.
