hi~ I’m sliding out of IG jail (don’t ask, just thank @idealblackfemale for facilitating) and straight back into the spiral. The feed is full of grimness and it’s feeling all too familiar at this point - police violence, anti-trans legislation, clashes with peaceful protestors, etc etc. A year ago @goodwitch.nyc and I founded the HMAN which has distributed hundreds of care packages to Black individuals in need, dozens of organizations and grassroots operations across the country and much more. This care-network expands everyday as more people reach out and spread the word about our work. We’ve been there throughout many unprecedented moments this year and we aren’t going anywhere. As we push through this season towards the summer and the anniversary of the largest civil rights movement in history, I urge you to stay aware and committed to the work we still have to do to ensure safety and to foster a more equitable future. Some of you might recall a reading series/writers collective I founded some years ago called The Fox Wedding.
