Over 400 Years Later - false narratives and whitewashed education perpetuating a holiday, behaviors and truth that commemorates manipulation, violence, genocide and racism (and more) that Indigenous Peoples continue to experience to this day. For many, especially Mashpee Wampanoags, Pequot, surrounding Tribes, and across the lands, recognize today as a Day of Mourning. Rethink this tradition. And learn how you can support and take action on this day in other non-harmful ways that promotes Indigenous visibility, respect, amplification, support, and meaningful kinship.
